However, if the renter is at fault, an insurance excess ranging from AED 750 to AED 3000 may apply, depending on the vehicle type. In both scenarios, obtaining a police report is mandatory.

Full insurance cover with CDW eliminates insurance excess in accidents, regardless of hirer's fault. Valid police report is still required for claims.
